Our Topic: Sustainability and the environment.

Started and Finished our research for our project based learning topic of sustainability and the environment, we researched what Sustainability and the environment is all about and how we can help. We decided to do some further research on pollution and the effects and causes of it. We then decided on what we wanted to do to help solve this problem.

Finished our Project Based learning plan discussing what topic we are doing, how the issue has come about, what the world can do to help and what we specifically as a group are going to do to help. We also researched what other international and organisations based in New Zealand are doing to help solve the issues revolving around Sustainability and the Environment

Finished our presentation on Sustainability and the Environment. Presentation talks about the causes and effects of pollution ways that we can help and also discusses the action we are taking to contribute to help stop pollution.

Finished planning the actions we are going to take, plan involves gathering students to help us clean up the school, creating signs to stop people littering and making chalk drawings to make the areas that we clean up more pleasing to the eye. We also organised a meeting with Mrs. Elley to discuss the steps we need to get the kids and teachers on board.

Finished a proposal for the Interview explaining what we wish to do on the day. Also made a list of things that we need for the day, equipment etc. Made a detailed plan of action for the day so it all goes smoothly. We will organise two groups and spread them out over two halves of the school. They will pick up rubbish and do chalk drawings around the areas about littering.

Completed our action of collecting rubbish and doing chalk drawings about rubbish and pollution. Kids enjoyed themselves and it all went very smoothly.
